Pseudopizzas

A couple of nights ago I tried a "new kind" of pizza one of the local eateries is offering.  It comes with a crunchy layer on top of everything else, it's like a giant Doritos.  It doesn't taste any better than without, but at least makes it crunchier, so I guess that's better for some people.

However, what freaked me out was the pizza's filling.  It was a funky sweet combination of diced chicken and something that resembled ketchup.  It was sweet and awful.  Truly despicable.  And to add insult to palate injury, you were supposed to dip this concoction in some sauce, and you had your choice of "cocktail sauce" and "BBQ sauce".  WTF?

What kind of moron could've come up with this combination?  It's unforgivable that they forgot the maraschinos and the mango sauce.

Non-radioactive alarm clocks

Today I was at some department store looking at the clocks.  They had some nice alarm clock models, but I noticed one brand Rhythm in particular... their models had these specially painted numbers that glow in the dark.  Yeah, many clocks do that, but the strange thing is I noticed that this brand's clocks came with a sticker that reads "Non-Radioactive".  WTF?

That reminded me a long time ago when I saw bottled water, and on the label it was written "0 calories".

The Ghost

I just watched this Korean horror movie on cable.  It was in Korean and dubbed into the local language, so I didn't really understand the plot.  I watched it all though because all of the chicks.  I was amazed that all of the girls looked like they could be fashion models.  Even the old women were kind of decent looking.  The difference with other countries' movies was striking as usually most of the characters just look normal; but in this film like I said, it was full of beauties.  Pretty unnatural feeling in that sense.

As for the horror part, I was disappointed.  It wasn't scary at all.  I mean, even if I don't understand the dialogs, I should be scared just by watching.  But that was not the case with this film.

Taking advantage of people's ignorance

I can't believe this article:

In short, it's saying that a rather tranquil town has become a "boom town" thanks to the production and sales of some lucky charms.  Unbelievable and outrageous that these goodies would be coming from Buddhist temples.  I'm not Buddhist, but I thought the teachings of Buddha go against these superstitions.  How come the temple guys are taking advantage of this?  I'm almost certain that Buddhism teaches to be detached of material things, and yet this...
