Robin's costume

A couple of nights ago I was flipping the channels and saw that they were playing Batman.  It was the version in which George Clooney is Batman, and in that episode there's Robin and a batgirl too.

In this film the way they made Batman and Robin's costume is peculiar.  The chest part is not just fabric, it's some kind of rigid plastic, and they're shaped like a good bodybuilder's sixpack.  More over, in Robin's case, they have even taken the trouble of showing his nipples!  I'm puzzled, how come in batgirl's costume you can't see her nipples.  Is this politically correct?
