Returning home late
I ran into the elevator, and ran into a gringo I'd never seen before. It was only the two of us in there, he was carrying some bags from the convenience store, I was still dressing my business suit and was carrying a small portfolio.
Suddenly, he asks me if I just finished work, I say yeah and introduce myself. He did the same and said that he's a teacher. I'm so glad I didn't say: So where do you teach English? Cause actually, he teaches world history at an international school nearby.
Once back home, I need to check my e-mail cause I might've gotten up to two important ones. Doh! The internet connection doesn't work. I even try by using the free modem I got from the ISP, and it just doesn't work. It's the same as with the wireless.
I call the ISP's help desk and the girls (yes, I had to talk to two, telling to both of them the exact same story) ask me to input again the user id and password. They ask me to do it about three consecutive times cause the first two the problem remains the same. Suddenly, it starts to work, but obviously they did something on their side, which they keep secret, cause on my side nobody's touched the user id and password settings! Gee, I hate it when they do these sneaky things to me.
